The personal data indicated on this page are processed by the Data Controller, in the performance of activities requested by the user, and the legal basis for processing is the express consent and/or legitimate interest of the Data Controller.

This information does not concern other sites, pages or online services that can be reached through hypertext links that may be published on the website, but refer to resources outside the domain of I-CAN.

Access data
At each access, the network server automatically downloads information about the visit. This is data necessary for the use of web services that include: IP addresses or the domain names of the computers and terminals used by users, the addresses in URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) notation of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment.

These data may be processed for the purpose of ensuring the proper functioning of the site https://icanproject.eu. They persist for 7 years and a half (2 and a half + 5 years), as they are used for statistical and reporting purposes and made available to the project promoter (EU).

Data disclosed by the user
To access specific content on
the website https://community.icanproject.eu/ , it is necessary to authenticate with user’s credentials for creating a teacher profile (username, email address, school name are mandatory fields, while full name, school name, number of students, class, logo, and school photo are optional). This allows access and activities within the I-CAN Forum Community (https://community.icanproject.eu/ ) and use of the Climate Conference Kit (https://toolkit.icanproject.eu/ ). This data may be used in an anonymized form for statistical and reporting purposes and as such made available to the project sponsor. In addition, they will be retained for the time period stipulated in the project itself (2 ½ + 5 years).


If users upload images to the website, they should avoid including location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. Liverpool World Centre cannot in any way be held responsible with respect to the data the user chooses to upload.

For users who register on our websites, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All registered users can see, edit or delete their own information they provide at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit this information.
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of messages to the contact addresses, private messages sent by users to institutional profiles/pages on social media (where this possibility is provided), as well as the completion and submission of forms on the websites, imply the acquisition of the sender’s contact data, necessary to respond, as well as all personal data included in the communications.
Specific privacy policies will be eventually published on the pages of the website, prepared for the provision of any additional services, or participation in specific initiatives and / or activities.

Information about the processing of personal data carried out through the social media platforms used
About the processing of personal data carried out by the operators of the Social Media platforms used by I-CAN, please refer to the information rendered by them through their respective privacy policies. I-CAN processes personal data provided by users through the pages of its Social Media platforms, within the scope of its purposes, exclusively to inform and to manage interactions with users (comments, public posts, etc.) and in compliance with current regulations.

Cookies and other tracking systems
Technical session (non-persistent) cookies are used, strictly limited to what is necessary for the safe and efficient navigation of the websites.
Regarding third-party cookies, Google Analytics 4 is used. Any user-level information linked to any cookies will be deleted every 60 days.
No use is made of cookies for user profiling.

The data collected are also processed by the
I-CAN project partners, Data Processors, who act on the basis of specific instructions given, regarding the purposes and methods of such processing. This data may be used for statistical and reporting purposes and made available to the project promoter for the timeframe of the project (2 ½ + 5 years).

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Interested parties have the right to obtain from Liverpool World Centre, in the cases provided for, access to their personal data and the rectification or cancellation thereof or the restriction of data processing concerning them or to object to processing (Articles 15 et seq. of the Regulations).

RIGHT TO COMPLAIN
Data subjects who believe that the processing of personal data relating to them carried out through this website is in violation of the provisions of the Regulation have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority, as provided for in art. 77 of the Regulation itself, or to take appropriate legal action (art. 79 of the Regulation).
